Ohhh how much I love this man! He is my world! He works so hard to provide for our family! I am sooooo lucky to have him! :) For his birthday this year the boys and I thought it would be fun to make Dad is favorite meal. He is a pretty simple guy...meat and potatoes make him happy! :) So while we were making his meal we thought it would be funny to make dad a giant cheeseburger! Of course we didn't have a bun for it but dad was fine with that! :) So his birthday dinner was cheesebuger (of course), homemade mac & cheese, oven potatoes and we made his favorite angel food cake with and orange glaze. Zach and Dad enjoyed his birthday cake! I think J had more fun watching Zach eat it!! :)

I know, I know it has been way too long since I have blogged. It has been crazy around here! What a year 2009 was! Last fall I started working at my youngest son's preschool 2 days a week and well that cut out any ME time for me. Iowa Tournament!

Ok so last Friday we left for Sioux City, Iowa for Chase's Tae Kwon Do tournament! It was only a 4 hour drive but with 3 kids it felt like forever! So we got up there around 6 or so. We waited around the hotel for the rest of the team to get up there so we could all go out to dinner. We went to a family style resturaent called Green Gables. It was so nice. The food was great and there was enough room for all 25 of us. Saturday morning we all got up and had a good breakfast so we could start our day. We had to be at the convention center by 9:45 for registration. The tournament was to start at 10 am.

Chase's age group was up first for forms and then sparring. He did sooo good on his form!! I was soo proud of him. He practiced it with his coach Tiffany before it got started to make sure he had all the bugs out! He was so sharp!! He got 2nd place! That is awesome for a National Team only tournament. Chase also got 2nd place in sparring!! It was an AWESOME DAY!! GO CHASE!!

25 Random things about Me......

1. My dad died when I was 11. I miss him everyday!! I wish he was around to play with the boys! He would have loved being a Grandpa! His own kids were HIS LIFE!! :)

2. My dad's parents raised me after my dad died.

3. I went to Raymore schools until 5th grade and then moved to Belton.

4 My dream job would be a teacher or a sports photographer.

5. I love to take pictures! Especially sports photography.

6. I do wedding photography on the side sometimes. Not my favorite thing to do though.

7. I love to scrapbook!! The family loves to look at the albums.

8. I have two boys and a 16 year old step-daughter!

9. All in a month I was planning my wedding, graduation, galbladder surgery and senior pictures!!

10. I love seet tea!

11. I am a little OCD! I have my clothes sorted by colors, I have to have certain things a certain way or it freaks me out! I have to do the same rountine every morning.

12. I love chapstick! I always carry one in my pocket! It drives my husband crazy.

13. I am a girly girl! I never leave the house without my hair and makeup done.

14. I loved English in school but I can't spell! lol :)

15. I only went to school for 3 hours my senior year and was a secretary for the school district that year too.

16. I wanted to be a social worker when I was in school.

17. The hubby and I lived in Florida for 8 months after we got married. I went to the beach, shopped and hung out with my dog all day while the hubby worked. It was an awesome 8 month honeymoon!

18. My husband is 9 years older than me.

19. My husband has an artifical leg. He was born with a birth defect.

20. I could never live without pets!! I love them. My two cats and two dogs!

21. I hate taking baths! Showers only!! Baths gross me out!!

22. I don't eat seafood!

23. I love a good steak!! Yum!

24. I could eat cashews all day everyday.

25. I will never give up BREAD!! I love it! Bad carbs....I know! :)

My New Haircut!!

I got my haircut and highlighted last Friday! I was so excited to get it done! It was really looking sad and dull!! I think getting your hair done makes you feel good!

This is how it turned out......So what do you think?? I really like it. It took me a few days to get used to the side bangs. I am a bangs girl. I love them. I needed a new look!! I think it is great for Spring! :)

Sorry nothing too exciting today. I have a horrible migraine!! It is mostly on the left side of my face. Oh they stink!! The boys are both at school day so nothing crazy going on around here. I am sure it will be different when they get home! :) I will post something better later on. Hope everyone is having a great Thursday!! Today is my Mom's birthday! She is working today but I hope she has a good day!!

Stressed Out!!

THIS IS GOING TO BE A REALLY LONG POST!!! BEWARE!!! :)

Ok so I have been a little stressed out lately!! Well not a little a lot!!!!!!!! I don't know why....I think it is hormonal or something! So I when I woke up yesterday morning I just had that weird feeling that is was not going to be a good day! But I got up anyways and got the boys ready to go to school and then I headed over to my friend Liz's house to watch her kids so she could go get her hair done.

Her kids were good all morning....I got so tired watching cartoons that I couldn't keep my eyes open. We all snuggled together and watched cartoons. It was relaxing!

So later on in the day I went to go get the boys from school and we pull into the garage and I tell them to go get a snack and watch some tv while I go take out the neighbor's trash. The neighbors moved to CA last friday and had a garage full of trash. Since it was only 12 degrees out I thought I should start on it earlier in the afternoon instead of when it got dark.

So I am outside for maybe 20 minutes or so and I hear the worst screaming from over at my house. I look over at my yard and see Zach covering his face up with his hands and Chase screaming, "RUN" "RUN" "Just RUN to her!" So I run like a mad woman over to them. Zach is bleeding from his face and it was all in his mouth all over his hands.......you name it was there.

I rushed them upstairs to the kitchen. When I discovered that is was Zach's nose that was bleeding. As I am trying to get paper towels, Chase is jumping up and down screaming, "Hurry Mom! Faster!!" "My brother is bleeding to death!" "I killed my brother!!" "Hurry MOM!!". So I clean Zach up and and then ask Chase what happened. He said that Zach was picking on him and he told him to stop and Zach didn't so he kicked him and it just happen to be in the nose. So I sat Chase down and had a talk with him. Told him that if your brother won't stop picking on you then you walk away from him and go to another room and if he still won't quit then go get an adult.

Chase felt sooooo bad about it. He was crying more than Zach was. Poor kid. I felt bad for him. After everything had settled down I heard Chase say, "Come on Buddy lets go lay in my bed and watch Power Rangers together!!" Awww.....So sweet! My boys! They were even sharing cheetos together!

What a afternoon!!

Oh the evening didn't go so well either! So after all that craziness I started on dinner. I made potato soup. During that process I spilled a whole jar of pepper on the floor and the wiener dog started licking it. So then she started coughing and sneezing. So I had to get her over to her water bowl so she could get a drink. :)

So by this time it is getting close to 6 o'clock by then I go tell the boys that they need to get their uniforms on for Tae Kwon Do. Did it go smoothly??? Oh no, they started throwing a fit that they didn't want to go and they just had to stay and finish the movie.....on and on it went. Well by now my nerves were just shot!

I get them dressed and out the door. We show up to class late. We have never been late in 2 years! I think all the parents could tell that I was a little stressed. So I just stayed away and stood in the corner for the 45 minutes of class. We got home from Tae Kwon Do and I was dishing out the potato soup for everyone and come to find out it didn't thicken up at all and the potatoes were not cooked all the way! Plus the boys started fighting over a saltine cracker!!!

That's when I put my head down on the table and wanted to cry!!! So my husband says, "GO" "JUST GO!!". "Go get your workout clothes on and go to the gym!" "Get out of the house for a while. I will do bedtime tonight. Just go!" Of course since I am so stubborn I said No! I have too many things to get done. Dishes, laundry, bath time, etc..........on and on....... But he was serious! So I got my clothes on and headed to the door. He said, "See you around 10 or 10:30!" So I went to the gym!!

I am came home tired but feeling better. I came up the stairs to get the dinner dishes done and fold the load of laundry that was on my bed and when I looked around.........It was ALL DONE!! Yes, all of it!! He had cleaned the kitchen, unloaded and loaded the dishwasher, folded the load of clothes that were on the bed and switched the other load in the washer!

WOW!! I was sooo thankful! That meant sooooooo much to me!! You girls know!!
He is the best! I love him soo much! I couldn't have asked for a better guy! But what a day!!! I am glad that today is going better. Not has bad as yesterday. I am learning to BREATH more!! Hopefully I won't pass out!! LOL!! :) Have a great Wednesday!!

Not Me Mondays!

I did not wake up 15 minutes before my son had to get up for school.

It wasn't me who put my hair in a clip and took my son to school in my pjs.

It wasn't me who rode with my husband to the DMV in my pjs just so I could get a Hardees bacon, egg and cheese biscuit for breakfast!

It wasn't me who didn't go work out this morning so I could have a yummy breakfast!

It wasn't me who was on the computer and ignoring my son for 30 minutes this morning.

It wasn't me who watched Power Rangers with Zach instead of doing laundry.

It wasn't me who sat on the couch watching TV until my butt hurt before I got up and started cleaning the house.

It wasn't me who waited until noon to take a shower today.

Nope it wasn't me on any of those things today!!! :)

1. Pets- I love my pets! Harley is a black lab, Miley is a mini dachshund and Tucker and Momma Kitty are our cats!!

2. PJs- I could stay in those all day long!

3. Popcorn- It is so yummy. But it has to have butter....of course

4. Pop- Well sometimes....I like Mountain Dew!!

5. Pink- I love the color pink!! PINK for Victoria's Secret and Pink for Breast Cancer!!

6. Puppies- They are just the cutest things ever!!! Dacshund puppies are my weekness!

7. Planning- I love planning things. Sometimes I think I like planning things more than actually doing them. I am always making lists and charts and calendars and more lists. I have a problem!! :)

The Gym....

I am so proud of myself!!! I went to the gym yesterday and signed up for a membership! I even walked for a while!!! YEAH ME!!! I told my hubby that he really needs to get on my case if I make up excuses! He said he would but for me not to get mad at him! :)

Oh and I bought the dress from Old Navy!! WOW! BIG STEP! It is 3 sizes smaller than what I am now.....but at least I know I can get there. I mean 3 sizes.....thats not thinking too big....Is it?????

Well, anyways I am going to stick with it. I am actually really excited about this. I don't know if it is the getting healthy part or the smaller clothes!! :) LOL! I think it is a little bit of both! But maybe a little more of the clothes! :) hehehe.....

I love this dress at Old Navy!!!!! I want to be able to wear this by summer time!! That is my goal. Maybe I should buy it and save it. Then I will make sure I lose the weight to be able to wear it. Of course I would need a little sweater or something...Not a big fan of my arms!! LOL!! :)

Working Out!!

Ok, I have made up my mind that I am going to start working out!! I know I have said it before but really I need to do it!! I am actually very happy with myself but it would be nice to lose some weight so it would be easier to find clothes. Don't get me wrong....I do wear clothes!! :) hehehe....I would just like to be able to walk in any store and find something or not have to pay a few extra dollars for the plus sizes. Plus I need to get into shape for a 3 day 60 mile walk at the end of summer with my bf!! It is a breast cancer walk!! GO US!!! :) So I will have my husband take a before photo of me before and then I will try once a month to post a new photo. That way we can see the progress!!

A Long Saturday!

Well today was a lonnnnngggggg saturday! It was a nice relaxing one but still long. I didn't leave the house all day! The boys played games and watched tv. It got in the 40s today but still too chilly for them to play outside. I am wishing for warm weather soon!! The hubby was busy working on a car in the garage! Nothing new there. :) I am sticking to my pantry challenge and made meatloaf, baked potato, green beans and rolls for dinner! It was soooo yummy!! The boys and the hubby are eating a piece of chocolate cake for dessert. The boys ate almost all their dinner!! I hope you all had a relaxing saturday as well!

Here is my youngest son Zach......he is such a sweetheart! He always puts everyone else before himself. He wears his heart on his sleeve. He is a Mommy's boy for sure!! My husbands jokes that he might not be ok with kindergarten cause he can't have his mom with him all day. :)

He loves to dance and pretend play. That boys has the best imagination I have ever seen. He loves the camera too. He is for sure always the one smiling really big in the pictures! I love that boy!! I couldn't ask for better sons! My life is blessed!

Pantry Challenge!

I am going to start the pantry challenge with Tanya over at Sunday Baker. So here are few pictures of my pantry. I will try to be good about posting recipes that I make. So far we are good on all the staples around here so I won't need to go to the store for a while. Tonight is our busy night because both boys have Tae Kwon Do. So it is going to be tacos for dinner. They are quick to fix on a busy weeknight. Have a great Tuesday.

I hope you all had a great weekend! I did! It was relaxing and enjoyable. Saturday was a really nice day. The husband worked all day in the garage. He is such a great guy! Always thinking of his family.
I made an awesome dinner Saturday night. I felt so bad but I stuck it out and accomplished a good dinner. I made my homemade chicken parmigiana. My husband was so thankful to me for making it. He knew I didn't feel good. After dinner and the dishes I took some NyQuil and was in bed asleep by 9:30.
Sunday I woke up feeling a little better. It as my Husband's 35th Birthday!! We had such a great day. We just hung out around the house. The hubby and the boys had fun spending time with each other, wrestling, playing the wii, etc. I made Hubby's favorite dinner ever. He asked for pan fried cheeseburgers and homemade french fries. He was very pleased. He is not a big fan of grilled burgers so that is why I pan fry them in my iron skillet. It was a wonderful Sunday!
Now back to the busy week. I am not a big Monday person but so far it is going pretty good. I need to get more motivated to get some things done. But oh well. That's life! I love the Sunday Bakers bloghttp://comeandpeek.blogspot.com/. She is such a sweet lady. She is doing a pantry challenge. You clean out your pantry. Only go to the store for the staples milk, eggs, bread, etc. I need to do this. It would help to cut down on the grocery bill. Nasty Cold...

I woke up this morning with a nasty cold! But at least I got to sleep in. It was soooo nice!! I am so thankful though that the kids are healthy. I will gladly take it instead of them. We had some flurries last night. Nothing to speak of.....just a few pieces of white in the driveways. I am so ready for it to get warm and so are the kids!! They love being outside! Nothing too exciting going on around here yet. Just a pretty calm Saturday morning. Its nice!! I will be back....I am sure something crazy will happen... :)

Just a Day...

Ok well today has been a good day nothing too exciting. This morning was so hard to wake up...My oldest son who is 6 came in to my room and said, "Mommy move over I want to snuggle!" I asked him what time it was and he said, "7,4,3". Oh my we have to get up and ready for school. Of course he didn't want to go. "No!" Chase said, "I want to stay home and play with my brother, school is boring." How hard can it be.....it is only kindergarten! and he never wants to play with his younger brother who is 4. So we continued on with the morning.

Got Chase to school at 8:30, came back home, made Zach some breakfast, did dishes, a load of laundry, and showered. Off to my friend Liz's house for lunch and some playtime. Zach loves to go over there and play with her 3 kids! Of course they all act like they are siblings and fight over the craziest things. But oh well they are kids! Liz finally got me to do a blog! So that is why I am sitting here typing. :) We came home after a bit. Her kiddos needed naps and I have to go pick up Chase from school and a few other kids.

My boys are in Tae Kwon Do. So there are a few kids from his school that go there too and I pick them up from school too and take them back to the academy for the after school program. I am already out so I might as well. :)

Ohhhh.....We got exciting new last night while we were at Tae Kwon Do. Chase was invited to a all National Team Tournament!! That is such a honor to be asked. All of the national team members and their parents have to vote on it. They want Chase!! Crazy! He is only 6. But he is so good at tournaments! We have been to 4 already. Each one he has came home with either 1st or 2nd!! So next week we will be starting tournament classes every friday. Then Feb. 6th,7th,8th off to Sioux City, IA for the tournament. Then we got to Wichita, KS in March.
